Our Story
One mother's dream, now a place where children flourish
Building Kidz began with a single question — where can a child grow academically, and find the confidence to shine? Two decades later, that answer lives in classrooms across the country.
How it started
The journey behind Building Kidz
It didn't begin as a business. It began as a promise a mother made to her daughter — and grew into a movement for children everywhere.
The first school opens
In January 2003, the very first Building Kidz opened its doors in Pacifica, California — a program built around the highest academic standards, whole-child development, and the performing arts. Vineeta's daughter was one of its first students.
A community responds
The enthusiasm from families made one thing clear: Vineeta wasn't alone in wanting this for her child. That passion carried Building Kidz to 11 company-owned schools across California.
Becoming a franchisor
Vineeta joined hands with partners Sangeet Karamchandani and Sanjay Gehani to scale the dream responsibly — building the systems, training, and curriculum that let others carry the mission forward without compromising quality.
A growing family
Building Kidz now spans 10 states with fully credentialed teachers — and gives 25% of franchisor profits, at no cost to parents or franchisees, to child-welfare initiatives around the world.
One million children
The vision ahead: to become the most trusted early-education brand in the world, reaching over 200 campuses and touching the lives of one million children.
