Welcome to Building Kidz of Louisville Preschool and Childcare
Our goal is to be one of the best preschools in Louisville, KY, providing high-quality childcare and innovative, hands-on learning experiences for our clients’ children.
Our center will care for up to 65 children and will focus on developing close-knit relationships between the children and nurturing teachers.
Our teaching staff will facilitate learning opportunities and support children through scaffolding, a method that enables students to solve a problem, carry out a task, or achieve a goal through a gradual reduction of outside assistance. Our teachers will understand the concept of the Emergent Curriculum and be open and able to introduce children to the performing arts as part of that curriculum.
Our curriculum will make use of performing arts activities, exercises, and training methods as part of developing “the whole child:” intellectually, physically, socially, and emotionally.
If you are looking for a place where your child can grow to love learning, please visit us and see how our preschool in Louisville can give your child the best start possible.

Preschool and Childcare
I hold a BA in Communications from Indiana University and an MFA in Acting from the University of Louisville. I served for a few years as the performing arts director of one of Louisville’s Catholic Elementary Schools, developing a performing arts curriculum for children in grades 1 through 8.
Then, a few years after my daughter was born, I took a position at a local software company, and after a couple of years, moved into management and team development.
I have also taught at Indiana University Southeast and led workshops for the Youth Performing Arts School, Collegiate School, and Governor’s School for the Arts.I am certified in first aid and CPR and hold an Early Childhood Education Director’s Certificate.
I believe that exposure to the arts and activities that stimulate right-brained thinking is critically important to a child’s overall development. I have seen the results of this exposure in improved creative problem solving, enhanced critical thinking, cooperative play, increased confidence and self-awareness, sharper communication skills, and a growing integration of thought, feeling, and action.
I am very eager to assist this wonderful organization in its goal to provide experiences that will stimulate your child to build Character, Confidence, & Commitment.
