    The total investment necessary to begin operating a Building Kidz School franchise ranges from $148,000 to $380,500. This includes an estimate for three months of operating capital and start up costs including $79,000 to $84,000 that must be paid to the Franchisor or its affiliate.  This estimate does not include the cost of acquiring land and constructing a building.

    What is the Royalty fee and what will I receive for this fee?

    Royalties are 7% of gross revenue and are due monthly, by the 10th day of the following month. Gross revenue refers to all revenues received or sales made by or through the Franchise, excluding amounts collected and paid out for governmental sales or excise taxes, and is reduced by documented refunds. In exchange for this fee, you will receive support from Building Kidz Worldwide, LLC, for: strategies for hiring staff, local marketing strategies, guidance on implementing the curriculum and front office operations, review of your financials to maximize profit margin, and onsite audits for quality control and risk management.

    Additionally, 1% of gross revenues are due monthly, by the 10th day of the following month, for the advertising fund. We reserve the right to raise the contribution to 1.5% with a 30 day notice. This contribution assists in the promotional activities of the franchise system and is used to increase awareness of Building Kidz in your geographical area.

    What are the ideal demographics for a preschool?

    Ideally, you want to open your Building Kidz campus in a well educated and diverse community with public and private performing arts centers.

    Households should have parents between the ages of 25 and 40 with above average income.

    Elementary schools should be located within a 10 mile radius and your campus should be close to a freeway or major thoroughfare.

    The combined capacity of your competition should not be greater than the estimated number of children between 0 and 2 years old for your community; in other words, supply of early childhood education services should not be greater than the estimated immediate demand of the community.

    Your community should have a good mix of homes and businesses with more than 200 employees; this will expand your market to service parents coming into your community for work.

    What will the preschool look like?

    Your Building Kidz campus will be an exceptionally safe, visually exciting, and a nurturing environment where the needs of “the whole child” will be exceeded.

    We will guide you to ensure every classroom and playground has the appropriate educational and safety elements.

    Do I have to be on site to manage the daily operations of my center?

    While it is not required, we HIGHLY recommend that you be on site to manage the daily operations of your Building Kidz campus.

    This is the best way to ensure that you establish a strong relationship with parents and minimize the risk of your campus being cited for violating state requirements for child care centers.

    How long does it take from the time of signing to the Grand Opening?

    If you are acquiring an existing school and converting it to a Building Kidz campus, your Grand Opening will take place within 2 months of acquisition.
    If you are planning on opening a Building Kidz campus at a new location, your Grand Opening will take place 6 – 9 months from signing.

    Do I need a child care background to manage the center?

    As an owner, you do not need to have a background in child care.

    Your site director must meet the minimum requirements for a site director as prescribed by the state your campus is located in.

    It is financially beneficial for owners to either meet the requirements for site director at the time of acquisition or meet the requirements as soon as possible after acquisition.

    How is Building Kidz different from other preschools?

    Building Kidz provides full service campuses that enable children to continually develop character, confidence, and commitment.

    Building Kidz is unique in that our unparalleled and proprietary performing arts integrated academic curriculums, references, and highly qualified faculty combine a world class academic setting with a specialization in Performing Arts.

    In addition to our performing arts integrated curriculum to enhance academic excellence, we offer daily music, dance, or musical theater classes and weekly language classes. We deliver the safest and most nurturing environment from 7 am to 6 pm.

    Our staff is well trained in the field of early childhood education and all members are competent in first aid and CPR.

    At our infant, toddler, preschool, and school age centers, we focus on the “Whole Child”. Our children grow emotionally, cognitively, physically, socially, linguistically, and academically. We deliver an exceptional readiness for kindergarten program, a private kindergarten program, and after school program (currently up to 5th grade).

    Toddlers as young as 24 months gain a basic introduction to letters, phonics, numbers, shapes, colors, and motor skill development. Preschoolers develop reading and writing skills.

    Kindergarteners learn logical thinking and basic math.

    After school children are educated in advanced levels of Geography, Science, History, Moral Studies, Mathematics, and Technology basics.
