Why Building Kidz has included performing arts education as a major component of its enrichment program?
Researchers have proven that youth who maintain a regular involvement in particular art forms, especially DANCE, MUSIC and THEATRE, find a high degree of success in reading and mathematics, as well as in other domains.  Why is this so? 
*One reason is that a high quality arts education helps to create a school climate supportive of active and self-directed learning, thus engaging students directly in academic pursuits that are meaningful to them. 
*In addition, researchers have determined that learning in other disciplines often focuses on development of a single skill or talent.  The arts, however, regularly engage multiple skills and abilities and enable the development of not only cognitive growth, but social and personal competencies too.
